Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Developer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer’s mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Modernization of legacy applications with full-stack software design and development techniques
  • Creating, configuring, and troubleshooting infrastructure in Amazon Web Services
  • Creating new RESTful API endpoint that conform to organization best practices
  • Confidence and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
  • Implement unit tests, perform peer code review, and support automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
  • Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Mentor and work together with junior developers using community best practices in a constructive fashion
  • Methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS degree and 6-11 years of relevant experience
  • Must have experience with Java, Spring Boot, and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
  • Experience building web user interfaces using React, Angular (Typescript), or Vue
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Prior experience developing solutions to customer requirements and specifications
  • Experience with relational database schema design and query construction using database like Postgres, Oracle, MySQL
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins and Jira
  • Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)
  • Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
  • Strong time and workflow management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding and knowledge with Identity and Accessibility development practices
  • Experience with automation methodologies like selenium
  • Prior experience developing custom ETL
  • Experience with containerization
  • Familiarity with UI/UX Design
  • Certification - Amazon Web Services (AWS)
